Red Gerber Daisy Wedding Cake

This beautiful wedding cake is another example of how lovely a cake can look with just some pretty flowers on it. The red gerber daisies are so beautiful against the plain white frosting. Just a light whipped topping, and some dots are all it takes to take this cake from simple, to fabulous.

Raspberry, Blackberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

I love fresh fruit cakes, especially our famous strawberry, pineapple bavarian cream cake. But this combination of fresh raspberries, and blackberries, is just as fabulous. The cake is a light sponge cake, filled with a chocolate mousse. Topped in a delicious whipped topping, which is so light. The cake sides are piped with a basket weave, and the top is adorned with perfect fresh berries, and some delicate little sugar flowers. Oh, I just want a pice of this right now. What a lovely summer cake, perfect for any occasion.

Simple white dots, whipped topping - Wedding Cake -

Wedding cakes, don't have to be covered in fondant, to look incredibly beautiful. This cake, is a very classic looking, simple design. It is white whipped topping covered in various size piped beads. With a simple border, and some beautiful roses as the topper, it is just perfect. So if you are not a fan of fondant, or maybe your budget will not allow for it, consider a simple cake like this one. It is sure to please.

Barbie Cake

Every little girl needs at least one Barbie Birthday cake right? I love the way this one turned out. The barbie is so pretty with her gorgeous dress strapped to her wrists. Sometimes, when we use a barbie that is kind of (naked) we need to add a blouse to her too. This one already had a lovely top as well, so we just created the rest of the dress. The mom wanted whipped topping, instead of fondant, so we simply added some sugar flowers to the fluffy whipped topping white dress, and the cake is finished. Little Cassidy was pleased, and everyone enjoyed a tasty piece of cake. Then the birthday princess got to play with her new Barbie doll.
Have you had a Barbie cake before? Have you ever tried making one? I would love to hear all about it. Make sure to leave a link if you have one, so I can come visit you!!

Blueberry, Strawberry Fresh Fruit Cake!

These kinds of cakes are by far one of my most favorite. No fondant here, and you won't find any sugary buttercream either, just light fluffy whipped topping, with delicious fresh fruit on top.

The inside is a layered chocolate and white cake, with a bavarian filling, and lots of fresh cut up strawberries, and pineapple. It's simple, and it's oh so good. Especially in the summer when the fruit is sweet, and ripe.

The cake is piped using the basket weave tip, and I just love this simple, tasty, cake, perfect for the guy, or the gal :)

Savarine - a Romanian dessert

Savarine
(sah-vah-ree-neh)

This is a very popular Romanian dessert. The cake is a sponge style cake that sometimes calls for yeast, with breadcrumbs gently folded into the batter. Cooked until golden brown,  the tops are cut off, and the savarine are soaked in a tasty rum sugar water. Then add your favorite jam or jelly, and spread some on top and finish with more whipped topping.

This dessert is sure to melt in your mouth, it is so good.
